Ever since that gay marriage poll the AFA got whupped in, I've been receiving their "Action Alerts," mostly because I'm consumed by a sick curiosity as to what they're up to. For the last couple of weeks, they've been all over Procter&Gamble for supporting the homosexual agenda, and requesting that all good family-minded individuals boycott their products. You see, P&G has this strange notion that gays are people too, and should be treated as such. They even go so far as to *gasp* target advertisements to the homosexual community and *shock* include homosexuals in their list of people one should not discriminate against in the workplace. Yes sir, it's horrifying, let me tell you.

So of course, my thought is, "Okay, so what brands does this company own, and how many of them can I switch to cheaply?" Crest, Tide, Always, Bounty, Head&Shoulders...it's all stuff I buy when it's on sale, so I've just got to remember to stick with them when they're not 50 cents off. Simple enough. Next step: have a baby, so I can start buying Pampers. A gay baby.

things to do in the copy room of the 27th precinct by zahra.  f/k, pg, sweet, shortish, confused and sort of pathetic ray pov.

1. Who or what is on your computer's wallpaper?
kirk & spock, in a bit of totally vintage artwork which i have not entirely expertly grafted together down the center.

2. Go through your dvd/pre-bought video collection. Which three actors or actresses feature the most in them?  i have an incredibly small collection of these things, with no actors and actresses in common.  if you count things i taped, it's the Big Three of original trek:  william shatner, leonard nimoy, and deforest kelley.

3. Go through your book shelves. Which three authors have written the majority of the books?
pg wodehouse, fred saberhagen, and roger zelazny.

4. And what about CDs?
ahahahah don't you mean mp3s?... oh, fine.  NSYNC.  ...what?

5. And what about your LiveJournal user pictures?
gary oldman (5); keira knightley (4, or 5 if you count the Young Elizabeth icon); and shatner (3, two in joint appearances with mr. nimoy).

...

i realize that for the first time about an hour ago it occurred to me that each book in my parents' collective library (which fills more than one room of our rather large house, comprising thousands of books) probably belongs to ONE of them, if you were to ask them, with very few exceptions.  i mean, before that, i was used to thinking of msot things and especially books as mom and dad's, except for the obvious ones like pogo and calvin and hobbes and an introduction to sedimentary geology (daddy's) and the books mom reads fifty times or keeps on the floor next to the bed (lois mcmaster bujold, connie willis, diana wynne jones, mercedes lackey, anne mccaffrey, several shelves of mystery and 10c romance).  i mean, because every book here is wax's or mine.  mostly hers, since i had to take what would fit in a suitcase.  and admittedly our household is newly merged, but still.  i bet it applies!
