zombified by the paper doll vortex

So I'm now addicted to this site, poupeegirl. It's a Japanese social networking site with an interface full of Engrish that is, like [livejournal.com profile] isilya said, like LibraryThing for clothes: you take pictures of the individual items of clothes in your wardrobe and upload them and sort them and input the brands, which earns points that you can redeem for doll clothes for your little animated paper doll in your profile. Putting in the brands of your stuff results in a live feed on your profile page of the most recent uploads to the site of things from that brand.

This obviously appeals to the clotheshorse and the OCD in me both, and I enjoy posing my things and photographing them and combing through the little swap area to buy and sell my dollclothes. Also, you earn points for yourself and your friends by leaving them comments. It's not too hard to figure out without knowledge of Japanese. The only thing you should know is that there's a daily limit on things you upload beyond which you stop earning points ("ribbons") and start earning shells instead, which have to be collected and redeemed for a random article of paper doll stuff that you probably won't like.
