the howl heard 'round the building

Wakened by the door buzzer at about 8:30. The dog is really getting old, because I think that's the first time he's ever failed to go berserk at that noise. He was so deeply asleep that he took minutes to wake up all the way, twitching and stretching and yawning and looking adorably confused. I pinned him down with the corner of the blanket until Wax had signed for the package and then let him up and he just emitted a confused woof and did a circuit of the apartment before coming back to bed.

Of course then only a few minutes later it buzzed again for UPS, and that time he made so much noise that he didn't even stop barking when I picked him up and held him on his back...
