cimorene: cartoony drawing of a woman's head in profile giving dubious side-eye (wtf?)

so... about forty sga icons for grabs.

i suppose i favour a relatively simple style, but also bright colour.  anybody is free to add a border to any of them, and they're meant to be customisable with small captions--which i'm happy to do but i prefer that other people don't.

so, i guess you DO know the fandom...

i had seen the promos and gotten interested, but i really couldn't find the time to be faithful on sci-fi fridays 'cos i used, like, one hour to make sure i either saw [numb3rs] and if that wasn't on, [battlestar galactica.]

(i always fell asleep when i tried to watch the second showing of [bsg] at, like, 3, so.)

even when i caught the marathon, i only got to see a few so i'd say i've seen five episodes and a half.

i've read, like, two or three medium fics. i have made it a point to avoid sheppard/mckay like it was the plague because i simply hadn't seen the source and i refused to be swayed by the first wave fervor.

5 & 1/2, and i *don't* see it, i see non-incestuous brotherly banter although i hope to catch the entire 2nd season and i might change my tune if i see another 5 & 1/2.

sooo you're taking icons even though... you haven't read in the fandom and aren't a big fan of the canon either? o.0

huh? i am a *big* fan of canon, but like i said i've only seen 5 & 1/2 out of 20 eps.

everything i saw promoting the series i liked, but i just didn't have time to watch it. i don't see how that makes me not a big fan of canon.

like, i can see how everyone finds mckay adorable or [choose your own description here] and i thought the undressing-him game was cute, but i wasn't in awe whenever he did something cool or good that didn't involve brains, and the thought of him and sheppard getting it on doesn't push any buttons.

my best rodney memory is actually david hewlett having a read-off with amanda tapping, for the one hour [sci fi fridays] promo that aired this monday, and it could be argued that they weren't entirely in character. (he won)

it is entirely possible that i harbor some dislike for the character since rodney intensely reminds me of every know-it-all l33ter-than-thou asshole geek i've ever come across.

but, yeah, i've had the show listed on my profile ever since it aired.

maybe i've seen just about as many entire [bsg] episodes, i've actually read more [sga] fic than [bsg] but i stil consider myself a huge fan of both.

granted, both shows are very different, but not even halfway finished with one [bsg] ep (meaning, the first time i saw it) i was already shipping people left and right.

for [sga], i tend to like thinking about everyone in azygous terms, and on a different level, how they relate to each other.

given time, (as in, like a vacation) i see myself looking forward to reading a lot of [sga] gen.

i mean, even if i think teyla and john are *so* teh hot, i still wouldn't ship anybody except maybe the aftermath of beckett/that dead chick, or maybe mckay/zelenka.

hm, i guess i mean if i were to write in that fandom, not that i'd only read those ships.
