i really HAVE to go down to the university this week, and get a paper that says i go to school here.  this is in order to qualify for the student subscription rate to hufvudstadsbladet, the swedish-language newspaper from helsinki.  i really don't want the newspaper badly enough to go to all that trouble any more now that i'm all LAZY but fortunately for me, it's too late--we already have the paper, which wax ordered a couple of weeks ago.  on the plus side if i were at the university right now i would never have known that lily is having a cuddly day.  lily is mostly a very easy-going cat, but she doesn't like anybody except the waxlet.  most of her interaction with me consists of asking me where the hell wax is when i am here with her, and wax is gone, and she knows wax should be back.  today she climbed up in my lap when i wasn't even in wax's chair--first time in a month she's done that, probably.

hey, so, i know i skim all the lost posts on my friendslist (cause i don't really watch), but was everybody talking about how the french woman is delenn, actually, and i just skimmed it?  or did all of you people not watch babylon 5 or what?

so now i'm thinking:  watch a bit of stargate: atlantis again to cleanse my mind of the badfic i read yesterday?  watch a bit of star trek, since i've culled all my caps now?  or just read some more fic? decisions, decisions.

slashy annotated scenes from "shore leave", 1x17

kirk turns on the come-hither look at spock full-blast in the first scene of this episode, and that's not even the most suggestive :ahem: part of this scene. push. push harder! )

spock proves that while they may be incapable of lying, vulcans can definitely be tricksy buggers.  he's becoming irritable and quarrelsome, yet he refuses to take rest and rehabilitation. )

dialogue-free: kirk and spock flee from a tiger and then a fighter plane and then a samurai (you kinda have to see the episode).  they do it in a very together way. )

bonus! mccoy meets alice and the white rabbit. )

there's a nice slash story based on this episode: fancy's hot fire by jungle kitty, nc-17. (eta that, heh, re-reading it now, it's... kind of silly, especially some prose verging on the violet. but still worth reading.)

in other news, i am fidgety. someone come online and entertain me.
