i find it amusing that on this page of crack fanart advertisements for various airlines featuring tenipuri characters dressed in their colours, atobe kaidoh with remarkably atobe-ish hair represents finnair (possibly because the artist didn't think anyone else would be as believable swathed in a fur-trimmed coat).

i moved up here in ... ... ... august 2004 to live with wax_jism. we keep meaning to hop the ferry to stockholm, but have never quite got around to it yet. well, it is slightly expensive, but i've never seen sweden outside of arlanda. and i love the riksvensk accent. it's so cute. :x

no, i mean outside of the airport. i haven't actually been in sweden. - but when i say riksvensk i meant all of the swedish from sweden. most of it is a lot more tonal than the swedish spoken by the people around me.

well, almost everybody in finland speaks finnish... but the swedish-speaking minority speak sweidsh, with each other.

i live in turku-åbo which is one of the bigger cities, and is the only one of them near the swedish speakers. most of the swedish speakers in finland are concentrated on the south and west coast, where there are some entirely-swedish and mostly-swedish towns. in central finland and northern finland there isn't even swedish on the street signs anymore. but since åbo is a big city, it's mostly finnish even though many of the towns nearby aren't. my better half's mother lives in a place where the majority are swedish speakers, though.

I think we drove past Abo once, when we were in Tjarlax (is avoiding that letter too. >_>;;), visiting my uncle's childhood home. We drove up to Tornea, over to Happaranda, then all the way to Norway and back through Sweden. It was great! ^.^
