He totally does. In the manga, there's a short, like, interview/statement thing from Hotta, and she says that she told Obata, "It's okay if they don't get what happened between those two." (Ogata and the girl whose apartment he's walking out of.) It's pretty obvious even without that comment, though.

This is why you'll see references to Ogata's manwhore tendencies in lynnmonster's and thehoyden's Ogata/Ashiwara stories. (Have you read those? I'm very into spoilers, so I was totally reading fic the second I fell in love - plus, I started with just the manga, which we read through in three nights, and if I'd had my way it would've been one - but you may be wanting to experience the canon first.)
