watching and reading

1. since i last posted, i have been watching tenipuri really fast. i've finished the senbatsu and rikkai arcs and now there are only about fifty episodes left till the end of the series. i have fifteen days to watch them all before we leave for paris. i want to be finished by then because even though i plan to burn eps and bring them along to watch with [livejournal.com profile] cuddlepint, we'll have to start at the beginning there. anyway, in the last two days i watched about thirty episodes, which is near the limit of how much tv or anything i can stand to watch in that period of time. it's something about my brain that greatly prefers reading to watching, i guess.

2. which brings me to reading! i am pretty much out of tenipuri fic, with the exception of rikkai (which is because until yesterday i hadn't seen the rikkai arc, but i'm not enthusiastic about it anyway). i mean, i haven't gone looking for fic that breaks my otps (that would be tezuryo and golden pair and silver pair), but i've methodically hunted down everything i could find for a lot of pairings. my del.icio.us bears witness to all the reading i have done in this fandom - silver pair, oshitari/gakuto, atobe/jiroh (and i'm still baffled by this pairing since it seems to be based completely in fanon, but it's so funny that i can't help liking the idea of it a lot anyway, even if in practice it's not particularly good), kamio/shinji, mizuki/yuuta. i even went hunting jyousei shounen and rokkaku fic the other day, and there was hardly any. i think i am truly at the bottom of the barrel (aside from rikkai, of course). this is sad, since reading my way through communities and archives is a habit that i kind of rely on in between doing other things, like reading and writing seriously and watching things and reloading my friendslist. it's almost a compulsion.

I think you and I are going to have to bring Jyousei Shounen and Rokkaku onto the fandom map. :))

I'll have fic by the end of the week, hopefully - I'm sending you the TakaFuji in a few hours, since I FINALLY got the break in it I needed.

Just wait until you meet Kevin! (have you started the American arc yet?)

i'm on 130.

TAKAFUJI. YAY. and klöajföskldj kish just posted some so this is like takafuji week!

also, i am totally willing to pledge to bring jyousei shounen onto the map with you (even if you reject my beloved kajimoto/wakato!!! :(( ♥), but i'm not sure about rokkaku. what i really, really want is davide/bane, but there's no way to write davide's puns without knowing japanese, i think.

i'm almost on 150. :)

TakaFuji clearly needed its own week! hee!

ksgjasg I can try kajimoto/wakato. ^_^ i just want kajimoto/ANYTHING UNDER THE SUN. *_* kdhlkdhd I have no idea why I'm fascinated by him. I think it's his overall seriousness and gaynesses. if jyousei weren't such a serious team, I think he and Tezuka would have a lot in common by trying to control crazy teams. hee. I would adore davide/bane (DAVIDE ♥). I'd just try and work around his puns, somehow. (OMG, WAIT TILL YOU SEE DAVIDE'S DOUBLES MATCH WITH OSHITARI IN THE SENBATSU CAMP. IT IS BEYOND HILARIOUS! ♥ ♥)

kajimoto is even gayer than mizuki and atobe, in his own way. his own crunchy raw silk tantric sex yoga way. but i don't get the feeling that he gets as much power as tezuka does, because hanamura does a lot of the stuff that is left to the coach's leadership on other teams.

[identity profile] kessie.livejournal.com 2006-05-31 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Kajimoto is gay, pretty, yoga love. ahahaha. God. ♥ I need a Kajimoto icon. :|

[identity profile] cimness.livejournal.com 2006-05-31 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
JUST WHAT I WAS THINKING.

[identity profile] kessie.livejournal.com 2006-05-31 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Are there any around? :( I can't make them. I would, otherwise. :((

[identity profile] cimness.livejournal.com 2006-05-31 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
i PROMISE i will get back to you on this.

[identity profile] kessie.livejournal.com 2006-05-31 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
YAY! :)

Now all we have to do is figure out how to make bad puns in Japanese...

[identity profile] cimness.livejournal.com 2006-05-31 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
<.< that one could take a bit longer...

[identity profile] kessie.livejournal.com 2006-05-31 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
...yeah. ¬_¬

Think we could beg [livejournal.com profile] achiasa for help?

*pinged* Davide-level Japanese puns? Should be manageable, if I can get hold of a furigana dictionary. I'm not touching kanji puns with a great big stick, though.

Actually, on the subject of Jousei Shounan, I think I prefer the manga version where they don't even exist. -.-; That sounds so bad. I'm a manga whore anyway, but the Midoriyama arc gives you a lot of insight into Ryoma's relationship with Nanjiroh, the way Nanjiroh sees him, and how Ryoma got to be the way he is.
