prince of tennis, band of princes universe (canonical boyband au!)
tezuryo and momokai; background taka/fuji and golden pair; suggestion of inui/yanagi. r.

one day, from breakfast till bedtime, in the life of two boybands.

note: thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bookshop for betaing and [livejournal.com profile] kessie for telling me it was okay to put data pair in. believe it or not, this extremely large quantity of crack was all originally inspired by this image from "band of princes" of the seating arrangement in the tour van.

hey, thank you! i'm glad you liked my characterisations. that's what i loved from the tiny bits we did see in band of princes, how everyone was still themselves, and i really, what would be the point if they weren't? that's the great thing about aus. i don't think oishi was any more anxious about momo and kaidoh than he is in canon - that's one of my favourite elements of tenipuri humour, his frantic desire to separate them. he's only trying to help! he doesn't want them to fight!

Oh I know what you mean, Oishi is always so frantic and it does make me giggle, he just seemed a little harsh to me when he snapped, short tempered I mean, rather than frantically worried. But maybe I've had my memory of canon swayed over much by fandom, because that does exaggerate his potential to flail. Also it's only my individual first impression and maybe with a reread it'd settle more nicely in my head. It just seemed right to include it in a balanced review, but I'm a cc whore (because I need it) so I tend to forget not everyone wants everything, especially when, as it is in this case, it's a matter of opinion and not related to the ability to tell the story, where you excel and I could find no fault I might add. I loved the style, especially how you convey ideas in a subtle way where I look back at other fics (my own) and the ideas are too boldly and clumsily stated at times. I adored the references to Nanjiroh, I didn't say that first time and I should have.
