oops.
for a year or so i've been planning to take spanish again, and finally when i'm intending to do it i've run face-first into the fact that there's really no way to tell where to go. they don't have a placement test, and i went past conversation to latin american literature not-in-translation back in the day, but then i haven't practised in four years except for working in a grocery store in texas in 2004. now i have to email the professor, which makes me anxious. especially since i just realised i haven't looked at my school email account apparently since may and there are several messages from last quarter's folklore professor in my inbox. oooops. maybe my pathological fear of mail is a bad thing.
also finnish 2 isn't till the spring, and there is no more swedish, so - should i still ask for the special permission, and try french, or danish? of course foreign languages require more day-to-day work, but in the end they're easier and more fun than social sciences and turn out kind of soothing and pleasantly occupying.
