having barely emerged in several weeks from a daze of books, and sleeping too much and at the wrong times, and occasional movies, i wasn't actually aware until getting up (way too late) that this is sunday and the new semester starts tomorrow. it's good that i checked, but i can't help wishing i still didn't know. woe is me! i still haven't satisfactorily composed a schedule for this quarter. my department has had the nerve to not offer the theory course at all this year, and that is where it should have gone.
we watched o brother, where art thou? last night, and had a long time to reflect that the soundtrack is really fantastic and i don't have it anymore because i lost it before managing to rip it to my ipod. maybe someday i'll buy it again. also we watched kiss kiss bang bang and i had just as long to reflect that even though i still like stories from ot3-ish movies like this one when they handwave the chick away with "she broke up with me!", i can't sufficiently suspend belief for them. i have this problem with pirates of the caribbean too, and a problem it is, because the plain slash far outnumbers the ot3 fic.
