a nightclub in helsinki (turku actually)

There's a gay club in town now according to our slashas. It might be new. A couple of Fridays ago when we were being silly in the Shamrock Café we were saying we should go there soon. I've been contemplating this and considering how long it usually takes us to get it together for a get-together (badum-ching?) it probably won't be a problem that I'm sure I can't go for at least two or three weeks until my hair grows out. My bangs were in my eyes yesterday so I trimmed it, but I took off too much. I don't like the bangs clearing the tops of my eyebrows like this, and I layered it up too high in the back as well. I liked the shape better before. This is not a plea to be told that I am cute, although you can if you want to, because I've already been told so, sometimes with quite a degree of agitation (Wax is particularly annoyed by my stubborn refusal to have my own hair-opinions changed by hers, but I regard it as natural for her to think that I'm cute, and besides, I don't take her opinions about dress and grooming very seriously). I'm sure there are plenty of people who would tell me so, but my own opinion is immovable.

dammit!

I was going to suggest next Friday or Saturday, but if you have to be a girl about your hair... ;) It's very cute, though I think I agree that the longer bangs are even cuter. But it's hair! It grows!

The bar is a very small and informal affair. One day there'll be a proper gay club in this town but that day is not today and hey, at least we have one that allows women for a change, hooray.

Oh, like no dancing and no adorable wee goths? :( At least then I don't have to angst about how to make Wax dance. I've only managed that once, the day after we met five years ago.

I've never actually been there on a weekend but reportedly there is dancing to suspect music (Antti Tuisku and Paula Koivuniemi are equally in favor). Weekdays, not so much. But I think we should definitely all dance. It's like, on my list of things I never picture doing with the slasha crowd!

BUT ANTTI TUISKU IS IRONICALLY COOL.

Well, if your concept of irony is as screwed as mine?

I'll accept that provisionally it can be ironically cool for other people. However,

1. not if I have to listen. Or, God forbid, look.

2. I'm sure the gay club didn't mean it ironically.
