yeah, they were usually pretty bad--and you can really see it with the high resolution from the dvds. but that episode was unusual. the prosthetics are a different colour and they're more matte than his skin--they'd need airbrushing to fix the latter. and i guess makeup technology wasn't quite advanced enough yet to fix the colour either. at least, not on their budget.
