cimorene: cartoony drawing of a woman's head in profile giving dubious side-eye (she's so refined)

my brain. what is wrong with it?

Yesterday I went to the store and remembered to buy icecream, breakfast cereal and bananas, and all the ingredients for breakfast burritos for dinner. I realised as soon as I got home that I had forgotten the milk. I later discovered, after three bowls of cereal had been eaten, that we were also out of dogfood AND catfood. So this morning I forgot again and poured a bowl of cereal. There was no milk, so I ran to the store and came back with milk and garbage bags (for picking up dog poop with, you see - I was out of those too). And then the dog was like O HAI MOMMY INVISIBLE SANDWICH? and I remembered how we were also out of animal food. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY BRAIN????????

Total trips to grocery store in last 24 hours: 2
Total items forgotten in the course of those 24 hours: 4 (or more???)
Total items still not purchased which were needed, like, six hours ago: 2 (or more???)
Total predicted trips to the grocery store for the rest of the week: Going by this record, at least 1,5 per day, or six (or more???)

Other things I have considered making posts about recently, before changing my mind:

  • Flesh-coloured tights: Just. Say. No.

  • All the people I hated most in my hometown, how all of them came from our friendly Unitarian Universalist Congregation, and how that has quite reasonably contributed to my misanthropy

  • Homemade chocolate sauce for brownies: MISTAKE

  • Straight Man and Funny Man, or rather, just the Straight Man: Jeeves, Sherlock Holmes (a straight man without the humour? A Jeeves-type cast, paradoxically, as the unorthodox or comic?), Spock, Data, Fraser of Due South, etc. Why are they so awesome?

  • The Holocaust and how I have been trying to make a post about it for a year and not managed yet, but maybe I will soon, although don't hold your breath, because it's hard to be coherent when I get really, really angry

Finally, have a picture.
