I've been trying for about a week to order these boots - a new style of embroidered Docs. They cost more at the German store we've just found, but the single UK source I was able to locate was out of stock. Next after that, there's American companies which'd have to ship to my parents and then I'd have to wait quite a while for my parents to forward them to me (most US sources won't ship internationally and even if they did, they'd be held up in customs if they were marked as commercial goods), and the point was kind of to, you know, wear them when it's cold. Which it totally already is. Well, not cold quite yet, but cool, anyway. It was about 10C/52F today.

I found them in a Schuh store here. :D They seemed to be the last size 5 in the city, so it resulted in a mad dash over the river on my lunch break. But I gots them. \o/

YOU ALREADY HAVE THEM D: I've been trying so hard! Alas, I can't actually tell anyone in the UK to buy them for me yet, because we had some Ordering Problems with a stupid website in Germany yesterday and have no idea whether the order has actually gone through or not.

...Ok, Wax says she never paid them because they didn't actually have a place for paying. But buddleia said she would peep in at the Docs store near her office for me on the way home. This shoe-hunt is so stressful! And meanwhile I just got a notice that the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun/Bohemian Rhapsody EP is backordered D:

You can also order from these guys http://www.schuhstore.co.uk They have them in stock and they ship to everywhere in Europe except for Malta.

...I have noticed her new EP hasn't popped up in the comms that normally have her stuff. Huh. I don't know if it being backordered is a good or bad sign, though.

Well in THIS case, when they changed the little button from "out of stock, sign up to be notified" back to "order", I was like YAY! and ordered it, only to get a "whoops, we lied, we don't know how long you have to wait" email. x_X Maybe I'll call up the other store that's supposed to stock it and ask them to check if they ACTUALLY have it.

Also, dude, I love that icon--I fell in love with that ad because it was EVERYWHERE on the tube when I met Chiya last March. <3

Yeah, the photography for that calendar was pretty cool, but that one was the most iconnable.
