Sperry Top-Sider "Cliffwalk" in pink snake

Okay, so, is "cliff walk" making a clever reference to something in pop culture or history that I have missed or conveniently forgotten? Because when I read it, personally, all it calls to mind is "walking on a cliff". And I have to say that, as much as I appreciate their making boat shoes out of pink snake with a streamlined sole and as much as I would support wearing them on a boat or a stroll downtown, when walking on cliffs I would not be choosing my shoes primarily for stylishness. Of course I am not a contestant on America's Next Top Model, but I would probably choose some shoes with good traction that were really firmly attached to my feet, and whose laces were not purely decorative. Maybe some Converse - the 10th doctor is quite right that the grippy sole is quite good (although maybe not so much on loose shale. In that case I'd take my Doc Martens, I guess, since I don't have hiking boots).

But anyway, putting the name aside for the time being, admire these shoes, and if you're going to be yachting or sailing and have a desperate need to coordinate with your pink sails or whatever, consider taking them for a spin.
