I don't keep any really big fandoms in my subscriptions, because if I do the volume of the big ones overhwhelms all the small ones so much that I usually miss almost everything that goes by in them. So I have my subscriptions, which doesn't see all that much activity, and USUALLY I also have a big list of Recent pages bookmarked that I check periodically, although I'm missing all my own settings right now for Reasons That Do Not Need Exploring at This Juncture.
