cimorene: medieval painting of a person dressed in red tunic and green hood playing a small recorder in front of a fruit tree (this is awkward)

Hmm, I don't like going out but it's not really a fear of places other than my home so much as that home is my safe space and I don't want to leave it when I'm feeling anxious or anticipate feeling anxious, because the less safe/familiar I feel in my surroundings, the worse the other anxiety feels and the more likely I am to have a panic attack of some kind. There's also the stimulation issue - the maximum soothing surroundings are at home, but the less soothing they get and the less familiar the more stimulation and the more my background anxiety will rise because I have to be more "on" and... alert I guess. And it's quite easy to get overstimulated like that.
