Oh, that's interesting. I suppose the average person probably does think that! I've been more interested in the middle ages in the last few years, so that hasn't come up in what I've been reading, but it sounds logical on the surface... and at the same time I can see why it might not be true but don't know enough details to talk about it. And that really makes me want to read that book! I saw a blurb about it when I went to her website earlier and immediately bookmarked it in my folder of books to buy.
