Oh, I agree that Dickens is HIGHLY overrated. Can't stand him. I don't think much of "the classics" often, actually... But I'm sort of obsessed with Jane Austen and have 8 hour version movies of "Pride and Prejudice" (which I will watch gleefully from start to finish) and the Emma Thompson's "Sense and Sensibility" and.er . yes.
Your 8-hour version movies of Pride and Prejudice, are you referring to A&Es version? I love that one... I could watch that all the way through as well.
