Oh, man.

See, I was physically pained when I walked out of the theatre, and I didn't even pay for a ticket.

The thing that bothered me the most was that the movie felt like one long perv of her body - but we were in the second row, so that could be really unfair.

Her clothes are actually pretty cute.

the plot is painfully naive and underdeveloped, but her acting isn't that bad. its not a horrible horrible movie, but its just. It makes you pity her, somehow - which isn't the reaction I expected.

It's cute. She doesn't suck. There's actually one particular part where I thought she was quite good. Her body is definitely exploited. And they whore "I'm Not A Girl.." like you wouldn't believe. But it's cute.

qeh indeed. i still want to see it anyway. cuteness is good, even if light treatment of heavy subjects is not. --i'm often inappropriate with my, um, levity. so, yeah. not to imply that i'm as bad as the movie. i hope. if it's bad. yeah.

I haven't seen it, but from the reviews I've read... I'd find it horribly offensive. It uses topics such as mischarriage and rape to make the movie "more serious" and does not in any way give those topics the attention, time, depth, and respect that they deserve. GAH.

But, then, I get really anal about those sorts of things.

i WANT to like britney! she is cute! she is earnest! she has all this girl power. and yet... it'd be nice if she would make this easier for me.

but i think i shall still go to see it, assuming i ever get any money again.
