fic! 'for england, home, and beauty'-- holmes/watson, nc-17

title: for england, home, and beauty
author: cimorene
pairing: holmes/watson
rating: nc-17
disclaimer: these characters are the creations of sir arthur conan doyle, although since they're on the internet i guess they've passed into the public domain. they also owe a good deal--particularly in this story--a good deal to the performances of jeremy brett and edward hardwicke as holmes and watson respectively in the granada productions.
notes: this is a FILM-canon spackle of 'the bruce-partington plans.' i adore written canon, but the film canon's extreme slashiness was what gave me the idea. links to the original story and to my review of the dvd episode (with screencaps) are available inside the story.

(for england, home, and beauty)

have you seen the brett/hardwicke granada productions? from the 80s/90s? because he's just like that in them. they might have 'em at your public library if you live in america/england/canada.

(i enjoy it too; i can't watch a clip without giggling, gasping, squealing. they're absolutely deathly adorable.)

Haven't seen them. I will. *makes a note*
