my daddy is in a power wheelchair.  he came to pick me up wearing a red polartec jacket and a black beret that lilly bought him in france.  we were waiting in line in the lost and found luggage room when...

Adorable Little Black Boy:  are you santa claus?
me: pst, dad.  this little boy wants to know if you're santa.
daddy:  heh.  not quite.
ALBB:  then why do you have that on your head?
me: it's, um, a hat.
daddy: maybe if it were red and white--
ALBB: then why are you sitting there?
daddy: um...

'then why do you have that on your head?'  best.  thing.  ever.  mom and i teased daddy about it all night.  ahahah.  why, if you aren't santa, are you seated in a giant rolling chair at the head of the queue in the delta lost and found luggage office at the atlanta airport, huh?  riddle me THAT one. 

('you look like santa' WAS the first thing i said to him after 'daddy' and 'i missed you'--he's grown his beard very long and it's mostly white now.)

Hahaha my daddy has a white/gray beard too, and the beergut to go with it. Now all he needs is a red jacket and a funny hat!

Earlier this week I saw a fella in a power chair whipping through traffic like a lunatic. He had the speed set all the way to 11, and was wearing a Gryffindor scarf.
