lazing on a friday afternoon

a couple of things.

1. i'd forgotten how much i liked this savage garden album. i don't care if it sucks*, i love it. almost all of it in fact. like aqua's aquarium and, well, i can't think of any more at the moment but i'm sure there are some. like, ooh, the andrew lloyd webber "premiere collection encore", which is a very alw-way of saying "the best of".

2. you cannot believe how neat and NICE the flat is right now. no, seriously. i've cleaned wax's desk, the spare chairs, tidied the bookshelves and the kitchen table and counter and done the dishes. the laundry is done, folded, and put away. the bed is mostly-made. i love it too.

3. i've even baked the cookies and put them in airtight containers. i've bought dog food and flavoured cream cheese. i am feeling full of benevolence for the entire world.

*which it doesn't although it's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

chris had that album when we first started dating and got all huffy when i laughed at him and called it a girl's cd. i like a few songs off it though.

well, i think it IS a girl's cd.

[identity profile] hollsh.livejournal.com 2005-02-25 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
it totally is! *lol*

you like savage garden? i thought i was the only person who actually did not think they sucked. <3 affirmation.

my friends were way impressed that i could sing along with "i want you"'s chorus when i was 16.

I love Affirmation too! And the guys, and their dramatic love ;)

You wouldn't know any fan fic worth reading about them, would you?

[identity profile] perhael.livejournal.com 2005-02-25 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
i would like to wholeheartedly second this plea for fanfic. yes, i know i'm a fanfic whore... but dramatic boylove is my drug of choice ;)

i've never heard that album. only the first one.

it's sweet, the second album (is it the second? i think...). not in a brilliant way, but in a cute, soppy way.

Hi.

I miss you.

And wax.

That is all.

(That, and, if I could insert a sound clip of "Barbie Girl" here with a picture of the lesbian Barbie scenes, I would.)

someday i'm gonna get a webcam with video capability and buy two barbies just so i can make you one.

meanwhile, the posts are in my memories...

I hear you on the Aquarium. "Calling You" is playing right now, thanks to the wonder that is iTunes :) I would never, ever, admit this to my Pomona peeps.

calling you is so catchy and so definitely the worst of the album.
