i spent five hours gone today, at the international taekw[O]ndo championships. i assumed the spelling earlier based on the popular pronunciation; apparently it's just mispronounced. or maybe korean pronounces "o" "a" (just not bloody likely).

my little sister, a non-senior junior (not super junior) yellow belt, won both gold medals in her division. unfortunately for bragging rights, they divided that group up by size and age so that she was only competing against nine other little kids.

ate a kiwi and a bowl of cereal for breakfast at 10:30, a chicken sandwich and kfc imitation french fries (actually pretty tolerable) for lunch at 4:45 or so, and now, at 1 am, a bowl of oatmeal and honey for dinner. tralala. my eating habits aren't fucked.

i did finish the chair. it's delightful. digital camera pictures will be forthcoming when i get around to it.

being THAT useless misses the point. i mean, like everyone didn't know that the others were?

if you didn't know, just don't admit it in public, 'k?

[edit: alright, well, if i WERE a dinosaur i would certainly be able to plug in a lamp, but i still sort of wish i could have gotten another result. how boring is THIS?]

i dreamed this very odd thing. for some reason i kept breaking down and crying on the bus which i was riding with rm #1, and which was being driven by the bus driver i had when i was in 1st grade (school bus, then,) whom i was very close to. and so they decided between them to cheer me up, and [livejournal.com profile] guinevere33 and [livejournal.com profile] kwirbx were also trying very hard to cheer me. and then there were some people that i don't really know and some people i don't remember. he stopped the bus at a supermarket and we went looking for some way to cheer me up. first they were going to buy a magazine, but then [livejournal.com profile] kwirbx thought i could use a haircut. we went to wherever they do that--which, um, seemed to be near the meat counter--and ran into the dad of my cuteadorablelittlebabysitting! babies (tm), with the cute little babies, who were, as usual, running around and being rambunctious. the dad, however, advised us not to get a haircut, and after the bus driver and my friends had rifled through their wallets a bit to see if they had enough money, they reluctantly decided that he was right. we took the bus back to my house and [livejournal.com profile] guinevere33 and i sat talking on the loveseat in the hall while the bus driver tried to fold origami flowers out of various kinds of paper. then they thought maybe i should get a new shirt (they were looking in the drawers of my old dresser for it, though, so...). i woke up before they could hit on a solution. and [livejournal.com profile] guinevere33 should be back from france in two days and then i can install winxp. now, that would cheer me up. if i needed it, that is.

so of course i decided to wear jeans so i wouldn't be cold in the airconditioning at church today in my skimpy little net top. we needed polyurethane to cover the new paint on the chair i finished last night, though, so mom and i ran to home depot almost immediately, only then it turned out that she wanted to try to get a rug.

driving back across town the car overheated, luckily within three blocks of home. had to pull off with the dial almost in the red and leave the car in this parking lot for an apartment complex. of course, the garage doesn't tow on sundays, and mom and i walked home carrying a couch cushion, a plate (to match paint chips) and a can of polyurethane.

wearing jeans.

it's been over 90, easily. for the freaks, that is just over 32 C. therefore, am all sweaty. the chair is polyurethaned, though. and i had "lunch" (as opposed to lunch. "lunch" is what i have when we have no food i feel like eating. a bowl of cereal and corn chips without salsa. *coughcough*).
