why did winamp remove the 'remove dead files' option? that was silly.
i woke myself up from the last of a series of vivid interrelated dreams whispering out loud, 'hurry. whatever it is you're gonna do, hurry.' in the first dream, i was continually fainting from low blood-sugar in some kind of kitschy music appreciation class my mom had signed me up for without my permission. we ended with a field trip to an extremely old library on the university campus (that doesn't actually exist, but somewhat resembles the natural history museum in smith hall). that one ended with daddy appearing and me throwing myself into his arms (cue moping, as daddy isn't like this anymore and certainly can't stand up or withstand having me thrown into his arms). then i dreamt about daddy driving me and aubry home through a zone where they were constructing some kind of sick cross between a magical theme park and an obstacle course. then i dreamt about being trapped in this obstacle course with aubry and trying to escape with the help of a succession of nice people including what appeared to be some kind of nomadic caravan from the sahara and a us air force pilot (both employed as obstacles in one way or the other). then i dreamt i was some kind of student of magic, and going back in time, with a bunch of other people who had been present at the time, to inhabit the body of 6-year-old me taking magic lessons. thus the quote at the end, spoken to one of the teachers. we were trying to change the course of the future and had only three hours left.
