DUDE. I had the most AWFUL yet hilarious DISNEY WORLD NIGHTMARE.

Wax and I, along with most of the people I knew in middle school, were going on a 5-day, 5-night cruise from Miami to Disney World on a big cruise ship.

So many things kept going wrong on the cruise that we basically never got to sleep. After the first night, some guys turned out to be evil Werecats! Who could turn into housecats, and used their powers to sneak into Wax's and my cabin and balcony and destroy stuff. I was grabbing them and trying to fling them out, but I got scratched, and they kept coming back. "Great," said Wax, "now our cats are going to turn into werecats too." I was like, "But our cats aren't here!" So we went to complain to the... boss lady of the cruise, who had an office. She wasn't answering the door and then we caught her leaving. She told us condescendingly that we shouldn't have been sleeping in the first place, and then they wouldn't have been able to sneak in. "Try sitting up," she said. "But we have to sleep!" I said. "You're not supposed to sleep in the cabin," she said scathingly. This is kind of hilarious, but it's really long and it's not actually kickass, so I've cut the rest which includes MY CRAZY PARENTS and also, MAYHEM AND DEATH. )

Career Counseling meme PSA: Kill It!

Quote from [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda here:

Oh, and quick PSA from elbales: If you see a "Career Cruising" meme going around, please don't participate or pass it on. It's not a free quiz--it's on a pay site, and by using whoever's login/password it is, you're going to get them into a huge amount of trouble. As wendymr has pointed out, it's a site for professional career counselors and their clients, and my suspicion is that one of those clients leaked the password, probably to their friends, and it went wild from there. So, you know, for the sake of this poor counselor, please tell people to delete or lock their meme entries or not participate at all. I don't know if the counselor can change his/her password, either.

I really wince when I think of how far and how fast this meme has already spread and the number of people I've seen who filled it out, or filled it out multiple times.
