prince of tennis, band of princes universe (canonical boyband au!)
tezuryo and momokai; background taka/fuji and golden pair; suggestion of inui/yanagi. r.

one day, from breakfast till bedtime, in the life of two boybands.

note: thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bookshop for betaing and [livejournal.com profile] kessie for telling me it was okay to put data pair in. believe it or not, this extremely large quantity of crack was all originally inspired by this image from "band of princes" of the seating arrangement in the tour van.

A:FDK:DSJ:GJ LJ DIDN'T POST MY COMMENT LIKE WTF.

I am in love with this because unlike everything else that came out after Band of Princes, you've written this so that it's so them, and everybody was real and human and them eating in restuarants felt like you could actually see them sitting there in all their zany glory. I really adore the way you wrote Momo and Kaidoh (which is saying something, because I hate that pairing XD) like they're teenagers and they don't understand what's going on but they like it, whereas Tezuka and Ryoma are all understanding without speaking and caring with reserve and sleeping in bed without sex and that moment when Tezuka asks Ryoma if he wants to sing a duet with him? The best ever. You are amazing.

ohhhh! what a great comment. :X i'm sorry my answer is bound to be insufficient to convey how delighted i am with your feedback. but i appreciate it, believe me. and i'm INEXPRESSIBLY pleased that you like my vision of momokai. that is how i love them, obviously. ♥ and your comment about them vs tezuryo is very very true too. the contrast in their ... approaches to relationships is kind of delightful, to me - tezuka and ryoma's profound and intellectual and complete soul-sharing, and understanding, and rapport, and partnership, and introspection; and momo and kaidoh's easy unquestioning squabbling and teamwork and yeah.
