prince of tennis, band of princes universe (canonical boyband au!)
tezuryo and momokai; background taka/fuji and golden pair; suggestion of inui/yanagi. r.

one day, from breakfast till bedtime, in the life of two boybands.

note: thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bookshop for betaing and [livejournal.com profile] kessie for telling me it was okay to put data pair in. believe it or not, this extremely large quantity of crack was all originally inspired by this image from "band of princes" of the seating arrangement in the tour van.

Heh, well I've actually re-read this since and I thought if I'm gonna fan-girl this fic so badly, I should really leave better feedback than three lines. You should be self-indulgent more often. Really. Please.
It's so rare to find long fic in this fandom, I mean a really long one-shot like this. Or if it isn't then I'm really not trying hard enough ^.^
Everything in this is just so rich and full, the chrarcterisations are true to canon and the pairings feel like they are. I love both your Fuji and your Taka-san, especially at the beginning ♥
The TezuRyo was... breathtaking. It came together slowly and believably and they both remained IC all the way through. The way you depicted the MomoKai was in a ay that made it stand out and still feel possible. I truly admire your talent with these characters.
Well, I think that's a little more descriptive, ne?
*embarrassed*
I'm a little over-effusive with fic I love, and I do love this.
♥♥

yeah, i think you're right that novellettes and novellas are rarer than short stories, but i think it's true throughout all of fandom. participating in the fanfiction part of fandom involves reading and writing a fairly high volume of fiction. the shared universe is changing all the time as new stories are posted. shorter ones are more practical to consume and to produce, so in most fandoms there are far more of them. at the same time of course, there's a lot more room to explore characterisation in a long story. they may be exhausting to write, but that part is also fun. i'm flattered by your comments about characterisation - it's my favourite part of fanfiction. capturing a character from canon and making the reader see my perspective on him, making that transition seamless - that's what writing fanfiction is all about.
