i realize this is quite cruel and not just a little cynical to say...but i am glad extensive cuts in spending, leading to the cancellation of more than half the periodicals...don't just happen at this university but rather seem to be systematic and symptomatic for the dire state of the educational systems in western societies...
it's good to know i don't suffer alone, you know...
