Wax brought me donuts and the Potter book and generously said I could read it first... and I kind of don't want to, meh. I was like five chapters into Thorn, one of the older installments of one of my favourite fantasy series. I've only read it like six times before... and actually remember half the crucial plot points. Okay, I'm being silly. But nobody in their right mind would want to go from the relaxingly urbane and expert narration of Saberhagen's Dracula to Rowling. *sigh*

Well, I did want to know how it ended, which kept me going through the first fifteen chapters or so of PAIN and all the characters I hate, but I kinda did wish there had been a cliff's notes version...
