random women icons for sharing

Sometimes I think I want to delete all my fandom-related icons and things and upload nothing but icons of women. Pretty much the only thing they have in common is all being of women. Some of it is art (paintings of Ophelia, the biblical Salomé, Serenity cover art, one nsfw naked fairy), some from movies (Cate Blanchett, Keira Knightley), various music (Fiona Apple, Emilie Autumn, Kokia, Tatu, Shakira, Christina Aguilera, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, even Ashlee Simpson and Britney), and, among other things, Princess Alexandra of Denmark; Fujii from the J-drama Sapuri; Twiggy; Ursula Andress, the original Bond girl; and a small number of icons from last spring's ITV Austen movies. Credit necessary, but comments aren't. Click on an icon for information about it (source, subject matter, etc).

I remember you using a lot of these. It would be very strange to use icons that you've used! Sort of like, your essence is already imbued in them.

That's not really the prevalent philosophy of icon-making and -sharing on livejournal any longer, but it would certainly be strange to use them concurrently with someone you know well or talk with frequently.

It's a picture of Princess Alexandra taken from a tabloid, from one of the first couple of fansites with picture galleries I found. I downloaded the pictures of her three years ago, though.
