on the plus side (non computer-related)

But did I mention that baby bought me tickets to Emilie Autumn at Tavastia in Helsinki on Oct 21? It's a small venue (according to Wax) of 1000 people or something, which to me does not sound small, but I suppose in the world of gig-jargon "small" means "not a stadium". So, it's, y'know, a club. I have been devoting a certain amount of mental energy per day to determining what I am going to wear to the concert. (Shut up.)

And! I finally got the 4 o'clock EP, which I cannot upload yet because it is on my hd attached to my dead computer. And CDON finally got their shipment of the new Bohemian Rhapsody/Girls Just Wanna Have Fun EP (she should cover EVERYTHING, every genre, on harpsichord and electric violin! I would buy it ALL) and I have ordered it! With any luck I'll have it before the end of the week, although their processing time was a bit high on the last order...

I am sadly addicted to "4 o'clock" and "Organ Grinder". They've both been put on loop a lot. >.>; I do admit I got them online, but I'll be buying them once October rolls around and I have actual, uh, free money to spend again.

Every time I listen to her, I wish my family had let me learn the violin. ;_; I would probably be terrible at it, but.

Oh, I adore the e-violin shredding in Unlaced. I really like the scratchy quality of her live recordings like "Fair Weather Friend" and "Mad Girl" ♥.

Hooray! She puts on a great show. I told her about you at the Chicago show I saw a couple of years ago--how it took a friend in Finland to turn me on to a local artist. How fun that she's coming to you! I'm so glad you got tickets.

Finally she stopped spending ALL her touring time in Germany and the UK and added some more dates! Also I think she's been gradually becoming better-known up here for the last few years, if you look at record stores and such.
