_swallow evinced some interest in something a bit taller than a sneaker, but equally comfortable and cute, and so I've made this introduction to the world of cute, casual low boots.

Excuse me while I go remind myself I really do not NEED shiny red boots. Or white and black print boots. Or, in fact, white boots with black stars because they'd just get dirty and look bad.
Mmmm, yeah. I love the Docs. And I'm dying for an 8-hole pair. Or three. I love the vintage ones, and the oxblood, and everything red, and I really want at LEAST one white pair, and they also have these tall ones where the top folds over and they're lined with plaid flannel and have all this excess steampunk stitching on the outside and the laces are ribbons (the style is called Victory - google them!)... mmmmmm. Why are Docs so expensive!
Wow. In my dorky glam days I would have killed for these (http://pics.livejournal.com/cimness/pic/00pkecda/g299). Nowadays I lean more towards these (http://pics.livejournal.com/cimness/pic/00pkg31p/g299), I think - they even look like they might be comfortable on my weird feet.
I really really really really want these (http://pics.livejournal.com/cimness/pic/00pkphf0/g299). And these (http://pics.livejournal.com/cimness/pic/00pka013/g299), too.
Yeah, I really struggled over those bleach print ones. I probably would've ordered them a few months ago when they started to go on sales if they'd had them in my size at the place that was trying to get rid of them.
