Rocket Dog "Shuffle" in trouser plaid and Dr Martens 1460 8-eye patent McMarten tartan

Actually, I totally want the McMarten in red tartan, which they naturally also have, but I figured I'd post one of the other colorways since I ALWAYS go for the red when it's a question of tartan shoes and I figured you guys might want a break. In case someone out there doesn't share my proclivities. (Man, that sounds kinky.)

dear cim,

i am interested in purchasing some boots. i do not want DMs because i have a special needs ankle (metals plates and pins from breaking it) which means DMs hurt me cos they are quite rigid. (i hate to get rid of 4 pairs after the breaking incident and i was very sad.)

i would like knee high, smartish boots that are waterproof and ideally black or mostly black. my feet are averagely sized (uk 5.5-6 which i think is us 8-8.5?).

please help me with your awesome footwear knowledge!

love from me
xxxxx

ps - i think my calves are kind of fatter than average. :( so maybe some kind of stretchiness or adjustability in the calf would be good.

hi cim, sorry for being so retarded in my response. i super like the fly london mink mol. mmmm. man, if only i had £125 to spend on boots.

i think i need to go into some shops and try some stuff on to see what fits well but i like the range of ideas you have given me.

there is a tReds here in Taunton but it's a little one so they might not have great stock.

thank you for your help - i will keep you updated. i guess maybe now is not a great time to find boots on sale. alas.
