i do have a FEW things to say about ralph fiennes. more than nothing at all. observe:

1. he could play sirius black without pissing me off

2. he needs to wash his hair more often

3. he's kind of a nutcase

4. he can be hot, if he's looking angsty and angela bassett is next to him also looking angsty. or wait, was that HER being hot? dang. the world may never know.

I'd much rather see Joseph Fiennes as Sirius. I wanted to smack Ralph after seeing "Oscar and Lucinda."

I see Sirius as a sort of David Bowie-esque character. They need to pick an actor who will reflect that. Like, Johnny Depp, if he could do an English accent. (Can he? I don't think I've ever seen him in a movie with one...)

johnny depp? no, too delicate. the other fiennes? ::squints:: too... nah, his face is too... round, he looks too much like enrique iglesias... ralph looks hunted, starved, stubbly, and mildly insane. he'd be quite good.

There's something a little rough about him that's appealing. Also he's about the age of Alan Rickman (which messes up my desire for Ewan McGregor to play Remus Lupin, but ...)

yeh. well, he and rickman are both pushing the upper age-limit.
