1. finished reading collection of short stories, lord peter. desperate for more sayers. what's more worth writing and reading than a comedy of manners?

2. appears to be some kind of small prickly spine in the meaty part of the ball of my foot, just where all the weight falls. nothing perceptible to the naked eye.

3. dog on crack. won't shut up. contractors have been tramping in and out for a year and a half, but if you'd think he'd be used to them you'd be wrong.

4. saw some sort of old black and white, very political movie, with some sort of campaign for president... one of the supporting actresses i could swear is an extremely young angela lansbury. holy shit, she's hot. maybe just a relative. resemblance, if so, nearly as uncanny as unexpected hotness. and i want her cocktail dress!

It might have been "The Manchurian Candidate" (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0056218), one of my favorite psychological thrillers as a little kid. Just a guess.

Oh, and also -

If you thought she was hot in that, you should've seen her in the "Samson & Delilah" era: http://us.imdb.com/EGallery?source=mptv&group=1265&photo=Mptv/1265/4161_0011.jpg&path=pgallery&path_key=Lansbury,%20Angela. The movie sucked, but WOW was she working the wardrobe. *lusts after costume*

I'll be buggered.

Manchurian Candidate is aces, too.

i'd imagine it's better. maybe the one i watched would have been more interesting had i started at the beginning. maybe it's just because marital melodrama lacks some of the coolness of psychological thriller.

nope, wasn't. it's not at all a thriller.

Hmmmm... maybe "State of the Union"? Were Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn in it? I'm taking this as a personal challenge now...

it was. i've no idea what spencer tracy or katharine hepburn looks like, though.

hmph. just stopping by to tell you that it was state of the union with hepburn and tracy and yes, that was angela lansbury. but... right. so... how you doin'?

haha. why, thank you. i had to look it up in a complete lansbury filmography. i got up at 6 am because i agreed to babysit! but i got to see one of my pet gay boys last night (they don't know they're my pets, of course, but i do like to collect them) and apparently he used to write tng fanfiction in the original run of it. god, i'm young. i almost said 'they had the internet back then?'
