cimorene: cartoony drawing of a woman's head in profile giving dubious side-eye (Default)

wind up?

i just realized that i've become, like, dom saturated. i see so many icons of him that i am sick of them. i saw one today and it was the last straw. a little voice in my head said 'ew, good god, again?' and it was a very striking and well-made icon, too. i thought about it, and realized i'm starting to dislike him, too. in fic, for instance, but that might just be his fanon characterization. i didn't even know something like this could happen. it's so bizarre. i used to like him so much! has something like this ever happened to anyone else?

I'm, uh, trying out the new quote feature. Forgive me.

I used to really like the ._. and the >.> emoticon, but now they fill me with annoyance when I see people using them.

it rarely happens that i start to actively dislike, but if someone or something because uberpopular with other people, i start to feel like i don't need to like it/them anymore, and usually--i've forgotten the word. i become uninterested.

it's difficult for me to avoid oversaturation because that's often how i work: i get into something and OBSESS over it for days/weeks/months. i also tend to view this progression as natural, because of that.

I'm like that with music. I'll like something and then it'll become all popular and I'll go off it.

But then, I also do the reverse thing too, where everyone likes something and I don't, but as soon as it starts becoming less popular I'm more than happy to start liking it. O.o

yeah, i do that too. heh. it's like i CAN'T listen when it's so popular.

I became Remus/Sirius saturated at one point, but that was mostly because I was so ticked off at the way most people write them, which is completely different from the way they are in the books. It's just like, 'omg here are two cute boys, lets slash them omg, who cares if they have depth and character, as long as they look cuuute!' All the manga-ish marauder art did nothing to change that image, either.

I recently started re-reading 'Stealing Harry', and now I'm all in love with this pairing again <3

As for Dom... I never liked him much in the first place. Bleh.

is that icon of your family? it looks like a candid.
