out out damn'd spot
the swedish teacher, who has approximately the same taste in music as my mother-in-not-law, inflicted about 2.5 hours of it on us yesterday. which is to say, she played us swedish adult contemporary music and made us discuss the lyrics ("besides that his girlfriend has left him, what else has happened?" / "what KIND of metaphor is he making with 'set the horses free'? maybe... it's his THOUGHTS that are free").
she introduced us to tomas ledin, who wax says is the swedish bryan adams. i don't know bryan adams, so i'll just say he's a kinda billy joel wannabe with lyrics about as sophisticated as the backstreet boys', but without their prettiness of sound.
and now the chorus of one of them is stuck in my head.
this is what i feared would happen.
i want to commit murder.
eta: sorry, randy, i turned my computer on and then went back to bed. :p
