cigarettes are completely and totally revolting. as they are that, as well as a slow poison which serves no useful purpose and is automatically rejected by the body, which has to be trained to accept them before they can become addictive, starting to smoke them is an act of awe-inspiringly grand stupidity and obtuseness. continuing to smoke them, unless you never inflict the stench they produce on other people so much as by leaving clouds in public places or having the scent on your clothes, is furthermore offensive. they're just all around wrong-headed.
there's a fundamental disconnect, therefore, a fundamental way in which i just can't understand, like otherwise seemingly intelligent individuals who don't care about the welfare of other people.

I think the whole reason why I started in the first place was because of my depression, but I'm glad I didnt smoke very heavily or very long, or it could have cost me time with my children.
