i haven't written a word of fiction in a week - well, not a word of formal fiction, plenty of words of imaginary crack aus with elfiepike and aeslis, but it doesn't really count - and i'm starting to go a little stir-crazy. give me more free time, universe! i demand it!

on the other hand, i'd hardly been out of the flat (which was also contributing to the stircraziness) and then today i spent four hours at the queer studies conference and a sketchy chinese place with shiroi_chi and anglepoiselamp; a more thorough entry on that will be forthcoming later because omg! that was nice.

my better half downloaded the devil wears prada for me and then fidgeted in an annoyed fashion until i abandoned the computer to curl up on the couch with her and watch it. it wasn't quite as bad as i feared it might be though it was quite annoying, but anne hathaway is still hot and i kind of, wow, think meryl streep is pretty awesome (i'm not sure i've ever watched her in much of anything other than this and the manchurian candidate, where her evil!momma was so incredibly brilliant i just - yeah. wow) and i might want to watch some more things with her in them.

oh! and also last night i read some truly eye-sporking jon stewart/stephen colbert rps. i still feel a bit traumatised.
