One of the great things about Batman and his magical universal funniness

...is that even in Smallville fic where he makes no appearance he is frequently the funniest joke:

"Do I want to know how?"

"Batman's a Yenta."

from The Fantasy by Marag, an enjoyable and somewhat silly schmoopy wish-fulfillment clichéfic in which Lex hires a Clark-alike hooker

Batman's. a. yenta. XD Perhaps this should be defined in the Batman Humour Law, similar to Dave Barry's

...I've learned certain fundamental truths about humour. One of them is that "weasel" is a funny word. You can improve the humor value of almost any situation by injecting a weasel into it:
WRONG: "Scientists have discovered a 23rd moon orbiting Jupiter."
RIGHT: "Scientists have discovered a giant weasel orbiting Jupiter."
WRONG: "U.S. Rep. Newt Gingrich."
RIGHT: "U.S. Rep. Weasel Gingrich."

from "Introducing: Mr. Humor Person", collected in Dave Barry Talks Back

The accompanying illustration includes the beautiful two-panel drawing "Wrong: Richard Nixon wearing a necktie. Right: Richard Nixon wearing a neck weasel."

Ahahahaha. Weasel really is a funny word. English words rarely make me laugh (it's a native language thing, I guess) but 'weasel' does. Or, dunno, maybe it's just the thought of a giant weasel orbiting Jupiter. XD

Picture Richard Nixon with a weasel dangling from the neck of his dress shirt, attached by its tiny weasel fangs, hanging in place of a tie. Yeah. ♥~!!!!!
