cool elopement, bro
We got married at a courthouse in Iowa yesterday.
Wax and I were going to elope with just us, and then we were going to take my parents, and then we were going to take my cousin Amanda, and then in the end it happened that everyone who COULD take the day off yesterday did and there were ten of us yesterday in Des Moines: two aunts, my cowboy uncle Bruce, two cousins, a cousin's husband, my parents, and us. Actually one cousin is very pregnant, so counting the fetus (which is as old as the n00bs were when SIL Windows popped anyway) Alex, that's 11.
Des Moines is about three hours from my family's clan home on the opposite side of Kansas City, and everyone in an official position there was VERY nice, and my cousin Tesia got video of the judge mispronouncing Wax's adorable three Swedish names, but you can't see it unless you already know our RL names, I am afraid.
Iowa already has pride, as well they should

In the Natural History museum in Lawrence at the University of Kansas, everyone except me, Wax, and Daddy rushed through the exhibits. When walking a complete circuit of the courthouse, which is this amazing building with beautiful architectural detailing, everyone rushed except me, Wax, and Mom: me and Mom snapping pictures, and Wax pointing and wonderkilling about everything.
On the way out of the courthouse again Wax wonderkills; my Real Cowboy uncle Bruce (the boots are there, but he left off the hat) cracks up in his laconic way.
