That piercing stuff is why they are called brogues (in modern women's shoe terminology, it's common to just combine terms like "stiletto oxford brogue" or "brogue bar pump" in this case, which translates to USan as "brogue mary-jane ballet flat"). :) Although if your shoes contain more than one color, they are probably spectators instead.
