Anubis likes watching the fire now. Snookums likes being glued to the nearest radiator and Tristana chooses either the radiator or just latching onto Snookums like a barnacle.


Our island's medieval church and its Christmas tree, taken yesterday afternoon before 5 pm (lighting candles at sundown here would mean before I leave work at four pm), and work orchid, which now has eight blooms open.

Man all your cats are so Shape

I am constantly amazed at the stuff selective breeding and domestication has achieved. Obviously, funny looking cats who want to cuddle and aren't violent is one of my personal favorites, but I can't deny that the range of horses and dogs is even more impressive. Meeting a little chihuahua or a big poodle or a weird, skittish greyhound in a winter jacket and being like "People made you! Out of wolf! And you're fantastic!!" is one of my favorite things about going for a walk.

How do you manage such giant bunny ears on cats. It’s almost lamarckan with the bunnies around.

The bunny ears look very different on OUR bunnies because of all the fur, so nobody is having identity crises, fortunately.

The cats are so sweet, and the church looks like a postcard!

Yeah, it's a little odd that there isn't a postcard of it, actually!

Yay work orchid! My first rescue phal is sending up a bloom spike. I am very excited, will post pics once I have some flowers. (It's a few weeks out yet.)
