♠ Movies. It's delightful how gay buddy comedies are, and how the unintentional, or partly unintentional, gayness of the old ones has led the genre into more gayness. Like Starsky & Hutch, for example, I could totally watch that again.
♠ Fucking weather (Det finns inga dåliga väder bara dåliga kläder). I've been longing for spring desperately and I got hot and sweaty walking the dog with a hoodie on under my jacket yesterday, so I made the mistake of wearing tights and a dress and a new pair of shoes to the movies. I was uncomfortable the whole time, mainly because it was too cold and windy out, but also because of the tights. They pinch and itch. I'd forgotten this because the rib-knitted tights and leggings I've been wearing most of the time lately are free of this evil, and also stay up better. Anyway, my girly impulses might have been put paid to for the foreseeable future, now, and I will be seen out only in hoodies and jeans again.
♠ Art supplies. My mom recently said she had an extra sketchbook she would send me because I used up the last one she sent, and couldn't find one I wanted to buy (I want 8.5 x 11" - or about that - vertical, and spiral bound, like a notebook. Most seem to be bound on the short side, or book bound, with spirals even rarer). Well, predictably she forgot that and sent me a huge packet of new coloured pencils instead, Prismacolor and Derwent watercolours only, in a rainbow of bold and uncommon colours. As you might have expected, I forgave the lapse at once, except maddeningly I now have no sketchbook, though I have three times the coloured pencils I had before (just a 24 set of Prismacolor). So... I'm thinking instead I'll rid myself of some of the mountain of sewing I have to do, or something. And make some pizzas.
♠ Ikea ♥! Oh! I almost forgot! A new mini Ikea circular came in the mail today. *___* Wow, I love Ikea. They're building one in our suburbs, in Reso, but it won't be ready for another year or two, I suppose. Piles and piles of new textiles by the yard, a whole new line of white-on-white prints and accessories called Ofelia, the most adorable bubble-shaped translucent glass table lamps, new super-cheap and elegant white-on-white Japanese-styled dishes called Dinera, and a new line of zip-up CD and media storage containers called Flört. *____* I can't wait till they build ours. I could go there alone and spend all day without even having any money. Paradise.
