I'm suffering through the extended tv hiatus by rereading Heyer historicals at random, now, though we're still not quite caught up on Heroes. I can't stand to marathon it anymore, no more than a few episodes at a time, due to rising levels of stupidity in the plot. But really, I'm just dying to have new episodes of Bones and Criminal Minds. House and CSI were up there tied as favourites last season, but we've even stopped downloading the former, and the latter has just kind of palled a little perhaps through no fault of its own. They couldn't help a regular wanting to leave, but their handling of the whole thing left me considerably dubious.

Bones is way more awesome than I would have expected before seeing it. I really like all the characters, and I'm a big fan of grisly murder mysteries.

Heroes on the other hand - I loved a lot of things about season 1, but the second season was pretty much too retarded to watch. I wonder what happened there...

I'm guessing Heroes suffered from having a pre-planned plot worked out in advance that ended with season 1... that made a great arc. It wasn't suited for a follow-up and they've done an even worse job than necessary. I suppose if they'd thought of it as a sequel and written a second self-contained arc it could have turned out a lot better. Okay, that doesn't really explain what happened though. I guess what looked like good taste/judgment/writing in season 1 was actually luck, sort of like with SGA or something.

The writers' strike probably didn't help either... They ended up using some pretty cheap plot devices to wrap things up, and I thought it made some of the characters seem OOC (Hiro in particular).

Your teacup looks giant.

Wax's teacup in fact holds half a liter, more than two cups. So it is pretty giant. But not really larger than the cat.

Mine is also half a liter! Well, 18oz, which I think is equivalent. Although mine has never looked as though my cat could fit snugly inside it. Not since he was a kitten, anyway.
