My dad is freed!

The UTI was the cause after all, but they had to try different medications before they got an effective one, which is apparently why he had a couple of partial relapses. He got to go home for dinner Friday, though.

Wax had the shift that lasted until 7 pm yesterday, and she had to work today and was too tired to go grocery shopping, so tomorrow will be ruined too by knowing we have to leave the house. Tristana continues to complain any time I am with Sipuli up until about 4 pm. I am trying out alternate hours.

Now that it's been above freezing for a week, it's even above 15° in the coldest room in the house, and there have been sunbeams daily. I've swept under all kinds of furniture that we usually don't, and put away Mt. Laundry that has been covering the office daybed all winter, and scrubbed the kitchen cabinet doors, and checked on the bunny four or five times each day.

He seems to be doing well as a lone bunny, but I can't help being concerned about him. Tristana greets him, but they've never figured out how to play together like she did with Rowan. I keep trying to rearrange his bunny furniture to spark his interest and giving him enrichment boxes (a box that teabags come in filled with hay with some dried fruit and a used dry decaf teabag hidden in it: he's crazy for teabags). We ordered him one of those hay cubes, but it hasn't arrived yet. They haven't had one of those in a few years (we've mostly bought a series of hay tunnels more recently).

Enfim seu pai está livre, eba feliz demais por você e por ele. Muito bom. Triste que Japp ainda não está interagindo com Tristana, e entendo você ficar vigiando ele de tempos em tempos, mas sinto que vai ficar tudo bem. Legal que você comprou coisas tão bacanas para ele.

Sinto pelo frio, aqui está agora fazendo tempo ameno, mas isso é o prenúncio da chuva tenho certeza. Até sol fez hoje, mas choveu entre meio disso tudo. Cansada desse tempo maluco. Não sei se suportaria algo como neve, sinto dor só de imaginar (fibromialgia), mas ao menos você conseguiu fazer as atividades do lar tranquilamente u.u

Yeah, I don't like the cold and I have never really got used to it completely! It hardly ever snowed where I grew up. My family lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, near New Orleans, and it's more like where I grew up. They have warm weather and flowers everywhere already.

Nunca fui nos EUA/USA mas conheço os nomes e lugares que você citou. Bem quentes e um pouco abafados não? Bem diferente do clima frio de onde você está agora. Fica difícil mesmo se adaptar.

Yeah, where my family lives now is at the coast and the area is basically swamp land. The climate is sub tropical, not really tropical, and very damp - where I grew up was warm too but drier, not that close to the ocean and in a forest and farmland area (north Alabama, which is less famous and very boring). For my mother, the gardener, most of the same plants will grow in both places. It's very very different here! It's a beautiful natural environment here, a forested archipelago of islands sheltered from the Baltic sea, but the cold and especially the darkness in the winter is very difficult to cope with!

Deve ser um lugar lindo onde você mora, mas o frio e a falta de sol abundantemente me deixariam muito triste. Aqui até no tempo frio tem sol (viver num país tropical tem suas vantagens).

Olha conheço o Alabama de nome, dos memes e de algumas canções. Mas acho que vi pouca coisa da região. Eu costumo ler um pouco sobre lugares no mundo todo. É legal.

There are a few major movies and songs etc that reference Alabama, but it's the least known part of the southern us probably!

My mom isn't a professional but gardening has always been her hobby!
