i am home. i wrote a lot longhand (which is to say, a lot considering that it was longhand), but i feel weird about it. it might suck. i'm not sure exactly why fuji is acting like this, and i kept trying to figure it out in the car on the way home and (a) falling asleep or (b) getting distracted by thinking about momokai. it was really fun, but i am emotionally exhausted from being around people so much the past week. my introvert sense has been rubbed with sandpaper and now i need about a week of not leaving the house to recover. carmela just got a toy lawnmower, which she carried on her lap in the car both ways and barely let go of in between. the less said about wax's granny, the better.

also? when i woke up this morning and unplugged my phone i discovered that it is finally dead. specifically, its lcd screen has bitten the dust. even the time-honoured method of banging it against the wall didn't work this time. since it's actually an extremely old and crappy phone (which we got for free as a hand-me-down from marre anyway), i guess it is simply time to replace it. but unfortunately, hello, going to paris next month? what a great time to replace a fucking phone. wax has been craving a shinier one, and it seems unfair that she can't have one when she spends all day making them and has become something of a nokia geek. but we still can't afford to get her one of the really awesome ones. so.

god, it was my first fone evar, like, omf nostalgia! (I am only on the second one ever, so it's not that long ago, just, it's the FIRST and that's highly symbolic, right? right, i know, i'm crazy). I loved it. it served me well.

wellllllll i don't use my phone that much, but it would probably be better to have it before then just in case. we don't have a house phone, see, so i'd have no phone when i wasn't with wax. actually, the current one WORKS, but i can't see who's calling. or dial. or use the alarm or anything else. heh. but could i send you something back! i know finland is not famous for great stuff. i mean we don't have any fabulous native pastries or cookies or anything like you do but we could send um. funny postcards. or finnish chocolate - which is not as good as belgian chocolate and stuff that you have easy access to, but the flavours might be different somehow...

Hey, no worries about the reciprocation or whatever. It's not necessary. :-) And if I manage to see you in Paris then I can be all like 'hey, you pay for the coffee, muhahaha". Anyways.

I will report when I find it (If, but i have good hopes) and then need an address and all that. :-)

anyways, whee, great dates! i should even be able to be there. *crosses fingers* i cannot be sure because the uni here might summon me for an interview about the masters thing at some point, and i odn't know when that will be, but. yeah. i hope i can make it!

oh man i hope you can come! that would be greatness! anyway, it's probably better if we ask her for her number than calling from paris and being like "hi, do you know where this hotel is?" XD

okay, i found the fone! and the charger. and i plugged it in. and... i kinda woder if maybe the battery is dead? after being empty and unused for over a year ir woudl kinda make sense, yeah? but anyway, i will let it plugged it while i sleep and we'll see later tomorrow what happens. maybe Wax can get her hands on a battery for it easier than somone not in Nokia... I'll give you the proper references and everything i that seems to be the issue. Let's all cross our fingers. :)

okay! i'll ask her about it when she gets home tomorrow. :)

she says it should work fine and we can easily replace the battery if it doesn't work!

it still doesn't work after a night of being plugged in, but hey. I took a few pictures of the outside (to have MEMORIES *gg*) and of the inside, so you can see what kind of battery is needed. now I need an addy to send it on! :-)

oh, and! i was actually all wrong about the model number, seems it's a 3210.

it's pretty easy to find out what kind of battery it needs, wax says. i'll email you!
