went out in my new year's party dress and marmalade prowled across the driveway at me, mewling. so i crouched down and, naturally, my skirt pooled around me. he perked up, looking very interested, and crawled right between my knees, the skinny little perv. he plopped himself down inside my skirt on the folded-under edge, purring like mad and kneading the lining.

Cats are like that. I made a makeshift bustle for a costume party with a hoop-skirt and huge wads of tulle. The hostess's cat spent most of the evening between the hoopskirt and the outer skirt, playing with the tulle.

he's the darlingest darling that ever hopped into my lap, but unfortunately he's mine only in spirit--belongs to the next-door neighbors for real. he's a charmer, though. i mary sued him once in a viggo/orlando story ;).
